La Marette Brittany gites in Cote d Armor is a small cluster of French holiday cottages near the village of Caulnes. There are two cottages / gites, Apple Cottage and Cherry Cottage, both beautifully and newly restored for the 2008 season from typical Bretagne farm buildings. Each cottage / gite is equipped to a very high standard to make your stay in France a home from home experience.

La Marette is a typical Brittany longere with outbuildings set in approximately 2 acres of garden and orchard bordered by fields and woodland. Situated close enough to the N12 to be a great advantage to reach airports, ports and cities such as Rennes, but not so close as to be a nuisance. The medieval town of Dinan is only 20 minutes away, St Malo port 50 minutes, Dinard airport 30 minutes, Rennes airport 40 minutes and the north coast of Brittany only 45 minutes away.
The local village of Caulnes offers all of the day to day conveniences you may require, supermarket, café, post office, bank, petrol station, bakery etc. So although you will be in the heart of the Bretagne countryside, all conveniences are only a stones throw away.
Brittany gites at La Marette has a lovely orchard area with seating for a quick glass of wine along with areas for children or more energetic amongst us, with goal posts, badminton net, trampoline, boule etc. BBQ's are available for guests to cook al fresco. Eat your
al fresco meal in the orchard or on your own private south facing patio area outside your gite.

Although our Brittany gites are beautifully equipped for self catering, Gites by Jewells offer something a little special. In high season we offer a 'plat du jour' ( dish of the day ) every evening of the week ( except Sunday ) which will be prepared by the owners from wonderful local and home produced ingredients and delivered to your gite before 6pm in the evening. Alternatively you can eat out at the numerous local restaurants, with lunch for as little as 10 Euros per head for a three course meal including wine or local cider.

welcome hamper contains local and home produced fair.
Cots, high chairs and stair gates can be provided at no extra cost. Please request at time of booking.
English TV, DVD & CD players are in both gites and are included within the price of your holiday.
Although cottages are usually available weekly from 4.00pm Saturday to 10.00am on day of departure, in low season we can usually accommodate short breaks, weekends or even longer stays, making the most of cheap flights and ferry offers.
